A photograph of a pair of hands, with a red and black beaded wrist cord, lifting a dark, weathered metal or stone deity murti from a shallow orange plastic basin of reddish water. Blue checked cloth is visible at the top of the frame, and sandy soil surrounds the basin. The murti is standing and appears to be a small Hindu figure with an ornamented head and body, partly submerged and dripping.2013-06-17Making Of Sacred Arts UniversityJune 17 20132013-06-17A photograph of a clay deity murti lying on a blue-and-wooden raft floating on brown water in a pond, surrounded by a stone-edged bank and green grass. The murti depicts a goddess with a dark braided hair, red and white garments and red garland, reclining beside a lion figure with a golden mane; the deity's arms are raised and a trident-like object lies across it. Scattered white cloth and decorations float around the raft, consistent with an immersion (visarjan) after a festival. No people are visible in the scene.2010-10-17A blackened, partly charred metal deity murti lies on its side on reddish-brown earth and rubble. The figure has a cylindrical crown-like head piece, multiple arms, and ornamental jewellery, with the surface soot-blackened and corroded, possibly from fire damage. No people are visible in the frame.2013-07-14December 23 20172017-12-23Close photo of a man's bare feet and white dhoti with a maroon border, kneeling on dusty red-brown earth beside a large weathered metal object lying on the ground. The object, smeared with red and orange pigment, appears to be a damaged or broken murti-like form with a cylindrical shaft extending to both sides, resting on the soil. Brass or copper pieces are visible at the upper left edge. No face is visible.2009-09-06June 30 20132013-06-30A photograph taken from above of an unfinished metal deity figure lying on a grey concrete floor. The figure is a multi-armed sculpture with a tall conical crown, its surface a dull silver-grey with patches of gold-toned metal, and its raised arms and hands partly visible. Bare feet of a worker are visible at the bottom edge of the frame beside the statue.July 21 20102010-07-21October 15 20082008-10-15December 23 20172017-12-23
