October 07 20212021-10-07October 07 20212021-10-07Night-time homa in an open-sided structure with a corrugated metal roof and bright floodlight. A brick-lined fire pit with a tall flame sits in front, surrounded by marigold and yellow flower offerings. Behind it, a decorated deity murti or altar with marigold garlands stands on a draped table. To the left, a framed portrait labelled "Paramahamsa Nithyananda" is garlanded with marigold strands. On the right, a woman in a saffron-orange sari and red-orange shawl, with dark hair pulled back, leans over the fire pit making an offering with a ladle-like vessel.2021-10-07A night photograph of a homa fire pit lit inside an open-sided hall with a metal roof. In the foreground a figure in orange-red robes, seen from the side with short dark hair, holds up a large round copper-coloured plate or kalasha lid while smoke and sparks rise from the fire built of bricks and decorated with yellow flowers. Behind the fire, a deity murti or framed image wrapped in marigold garlands sits on a maroon-draped altar, with a large floral garland hanging nearby and a bright light beam across the hall. The scene reads as a fire ritual performed at night in an open ashram hall.2021-10-07October 11 20212021-10-11June 27 20132013-06-27October 01 20112011-10-01October 07 20212021-10-07June 27 20132013-06-27December 20 20132013-12-20A figure in a red turban and red robes stands beside a fire pit at night, feeding offerings into a bright flame while smoke rises.
