A seated man in a rust-red turban and matching rust-red clothing, with a pink flower garland and a gold chain, sits on an ornate gold throne with red cushions, hands joined in namaste. Beside him, a shirtless young priest in an orange dhoti and orange shawl stands at a large floral-decorated deity murti, arranging or offering at its base. The murti is adorned with a rainbow arc of red, white, purple and yellow flower garlands; brass oil lamps stand nearby on the red carpeted dais, with a carved stone arch and a gilded carved backdrop behind. The seated man's identity is uncertain from appearance alone.2016-08-28 +1 copiesPhoto of a ceremonial stage inside a red-draped hall. A seated figure on an ornate gold-and-red throne with lion-head armrests sits with palms pressed together in namaskar, wearing a rust-red turban, layered gold and beaded necklaces, bangles and a saffron-orange dhoti. Behind the throne, a floral garland of yellow, orange, white and purple flowers frames the seat. Golden trident staffs and a gold ceremonial umbrella with a bird finial stand around the dais. On the right, an attendant in a green-and-gold turban, white dhoti and flower garland holds a silver tray with a lit oil lamp, while a decorated deity murti stands in the background.2015-10-18
