September 07 20122012-09-07A photograph of a large monitor showing a grid of about a dozen video-call tiles, each a participant's home or meeting room in a different city. Tiles show people seated on floors and sofas, some holding handmade paper signs naming locations such as Twin Lakes, Hartford USA, Austin, Houston South West, Blochmont, Bangalore, Calgary Amarnath, Paris, Abu Dhabi UAE and Chennai. Several participants wear white, orange or red clothing, one older man in a white shirt sits beside a framed portrait, and a woman in a blue top sits at a desk. A timestamp reads 3:13 am BST and 8:14 pm MDT. No event speaker is clearly visible on the monitor, so no individual is identified.2012-09-05A photograph of a large video-conference wall display showing a grid of many simultaneous live feeds of participants gathered for a satsang. Participants sit on floors, sofas and beds in homes and ashram halls, some holding handmade signs such as Calgary Amaravathi, Blochmont, Salem Ashram, Nyskoka Canada, Dakota Dunes, Austin and Alwal Hyderabad. One tile shows a woman in an orange and yellow sari seated beside a red-cushioned seat. Another tile shows a ashram hall with many people in white clothes seated before a shrine. A few tiles show a man in a white shirt with a blue shirt reading AERO. The display itself is the main subject, with the people on screen presented as remote participants rather than physical people in this room.2012-09-04April 14 20132013-04-14Photo 11731070 +1 copiesSeptember 16 20122012-09-16A large display screen showing a multi-panel video conference grid of satsang participants seated on floors and mats in various rooms, with name placards including NEW YORK VARANASI, CALGARY AMARNATH, SOMNATH, TUCSON, VANCOUVER PURI and CHARLOTTE SRISAILAM. Many people in white, cream, blue and purple clothing sit cross-legged, some with notebooks. In the bottom-right panel, a figure in saffron-orange robes with rudraksha malas and a garland sits before an ornate golden throne with floral decorations, appearing to be the presenter for the session, and this appearance-based identification is probable: a person, seated on a golden peetha. Other panels show a framed portrait and an altar with flowers. The screen is partially visible at the right edge.2011-11-05A photograph of a video wall grid showing many simultaneous live connections to KAILASA centres, each tile captioned with a centre name such as HOUSTON KALAHASTHI, Toronto Kailasam, SEATTLE CHIDAMBARAM, Oklahoma Somnatham, NITHYANANDA NAGARAM - HYDERABAD, CHARLOTTE-SRISAILAM, Los Angeles Arunachala and PARIS HOME TEMPLE. Participants sit on mats and cushions in saffron, white, pink and purple clothing, some near altars with flowers and deity images. The bottom-right tile shows a man in saffron robes with a rudraksha mala and a long braid, seated before an ornate golden backdrop, appearing to lead the session. Other tiles show seated groups in meditation or yoga poses.2013-04-14A screen-grid photograph of a video-conference satsang split into many tiles, each showing a different group of people seated on mats, cushions or chairs in rooms with red, orange and white furnishings. Tile labels read San Jose Madurai, Toronto Kailasam, Phoenix Kanchipuram, Ohio Prayag, Oklahoma Somnatham, Ohio Center, Adyar Chennai, Seattle Chidambaram, Sharjah, Los Angeles Arunachala, Alwarpet Chennai and Nithyanandanagara Hyderabad. Several tiles show a seated man in white ritual clothing with a shaved head, and a few show people in saffron or orange garments, but no identification is made from appearance. A portrait of a figure in orange and a framed image appear in some rooms, and a brass plate with flowers sits in one tile. Overlaid screen text includes Sanskrit mantra lines and a copyright notice.2013-03-05March 31 20122012-03-31Photo 11704060 +1 copiesFebruary 14 20162016-02-14
