A collage of photographs of an outdoor shrine at a banyan tree. Multiple panels show a black stone murti of Lord Dakshinamurthy, a four-armed deity, draped in orange cloth with a red-and-yellow marigold garland and rudraksha mala, seated within a white arched stone frame. Other panels show the dense aerial roots and trunk of a large banyan tree, a red-painted base, and close-ups of the murti's face and hands. No physical people are visible; the figure shown is a statue, not a person.2010-07-08May 12 20132013-05-12December 23 20092009-12-23A man stands barefoot on a low stone platform beside a large banyan tree with many aerial roots, leaning his head against the trunk with eyes closed in a meditative posture. He has long dark hair tied in a back knot, a white vertical tilak on his forehead, and wears an orange-saffron cloth with dark red borders over his shoulder and a matching orange dhoti with red triangular border patterns, plus a beaded mala at his neck. A small floral kolam with purple and red petals is drawn on the stone at the lower left, and dry sandy ground and a brick wall fill the background.2011-01-21January 23 20112011-01-23 +1 copies2011 - Photo AlbumDecember 26 20082008-12-26A photograph of a single man standing barefoot in an outdoor setting beside a large banyan tree with many aerial roots. He wears an orange-red saffron cloth draped over his body and a long garland of yellow, red and green flowers around his neck. His eyes are closed and his head is bowed against the tree trunk in a devotional gesture. The ground is dirt with rocks and dappled shade from the canopy, with trees and greenery in the background.2007-12-22December 28 20082008-12-28 +1 copiesA photograph of a standing man in an outdoor grove beside a large banyan tree with aerial roots. He wears saffron-orange silk dhoti and drape with a gold-bordered waist cloth, bare-chested with a rudraksha mala around his neck and gold armlets and bangles, and long dark hair. His right hand is raised in a blessing gesture while his left hand rests at his waist. He stands barefoot on a small red and blue woven mat on a stone step. Beside the tree hangs a garland of red, yellow and green flowers. Behind him are brick pedestals, sandy ground and a red wall. Swamiji (probable) is identified by the ceremonial saffron attire, long swept-back hair, rudraksha mala and gold ornaments, presented in a teaching or blessing stance.2012-04-28March 13 20132013-03-13December 29 20082008-12-29
