Around him, several young men in orange and saffron garments, rudraksha malas and white sacred ash on their foreheads and arms stand close together, some with palms joined and others holding bells and trays. An orange and gold canopy umbrella and a yellow umbrella are overhead, and booths with colourful signs fill the tented background. This appears to be an aarti ritual in a festival tent setting. The central man matches Swamiji (probable) based on his turban, saffron-orange clothing and distinctive shawl, and he is physically present.2016-04-25A photo of a home puja in a bright, plainly furnished room with a white ceiling fan and cream walls. A seated figure in a maroon and gold sari-style garment, wearing a white floral garland and gold armlets, holds a silver trident and receives a ritual. Two seated people in white, one with a rudraksha mala, kneel before an oil lamp flame on a tray with flowers, fruit and offerings, while a woman in a blue sari with a long braid joins them. Around them, standing devotees in white dhotis and saffron-orange robes press their palms together, and a young person in white with a rudraksha mala and gold-trimmed cloth stands with hands folded. Six or more physical people are visible in the room.2014-07-01A photograph inside a temple hall during a ritual. On the left, a bare-chested priest in white dhoti holds a lit oil lamp toward a silver-and-gold palanquin draped with garlands of pink and white flowers and red roses. Standing in a row to the right are several men in saffron-orange robes with gold borders; the tallest in the centre wears a crown-like headband and a flower garland, and the man on the right has a long beard, rudraksha beads and a gold-bordered orange wrap. A watch-wearing man in white stands behind them. Ornate red and gold canopy fabric hangs overhead.2012-06-05A seated man in an orange-red turban and orange-red robe, wearing a garland of white and red flowers, sits on a cushion on the right, smiling, holding a long staff with a silver tip. In front of him a woman in a white sari with gold border holds a lit flame over a brass plate of flowers and fruit while an elderly man in a white dhoti and a white forehead mark sits beside her. Several shaven-headed men in saffron and maroon robes with rudraksha malas stand with palms pressed together, a young man in white holds his hands together, and standing devotees in white and dark clothing watch from the left. The room has white walls, a tiled floor, a fan and a framed picture; a dish of fruit sits in a basket at lower right. This appears to be a puja or aarti at a home.2014-07-01July 01 20142014-07-01A photograph inside a decorated hall with a draped ceiling, colourful woven tassels and a gold-and-white backdrop. A man in a red-orange robe with a long dark wig-like hair and a beaded necklace stands centre right, smiling and placing his hand on the head of an elderly man in white clothes with a pink-and-white shawl, who bows with palms joined. Beside them, a younger man in orange robes and a rudraksha mala holds a silver tray with offerings. Other men in white and red shawls stand with folded hands in the background, and a gilded throne-like seat is visible at right. The central figure matches the presentation cues associated with a person, so this is a probable identification from appearance, with the role being a blessing recipient setting.2010-10-18 +1 copies
