A smiling man in an orange saffron robe and a long gold bead necklace, with a white sacred mark on his forehead, reaches out and touches the devotee's forehead, holding a small white paper or cloth in his other hand. Behind them is an ornate gold throne with cushions and a large floral garland of yellow, orange and red flowers. A golden figure is partly visible in the background. Behind them is a blurred golden altar with yellow and orange flower garlands and a gilded deity murti. Two physical people are visible. The orange-robed figure has distinctive saffron clothing, a gold bead necklace and long swept-back hair, but the appearance is not clear enough to confirm an identity, so the a person field is unsure.2011-12-17A photograph of an outdoor ritual at a temple-like setting with orange-painted walls. On the right, a figure in orange robes wearing a heavy garland of yellow marigolds and red roses, with white tilak on the forehead and a gold crown-like headpiece, places his hand on the forehead of a man on the left. The man on the left wears white clothes, a rudraksha mala, and a gold bangle, his palms pressed together in respectful greeting with eyes closed. Fruit including bananas and apples sits on a tray in the foreground, and another person in white is partly visible behind.
