The blessing figure has long dark hair swept back, wears a tilak, a small gold earring, layered rudraksha-style beads and a heavy ceremonial gold bead necklace with a crystal mala, and holds a sheet of paper in the other hand. Behind them a second robed figure in ochre stands near a maroon curtain and a yellow banner, with a few other people at the edge of the frame. The blessing figure has distinctive long swept-back hair, ochre robes and ornate gold necklaces, consistent with the Swamiji (probable) candidate; the kneeling man is a devotee receiving blessing.2013-05-04July 03 20132013-07-03February 22 20132013-02-22 +1 copiesA seated figure in an orange and gold silk shawl over a bare shoulder, wearing long rudraksha malas and a red tilak on the forehead, sits on a red-cushioned throne. He extends his right hand over the head of a kneeling devotee in a white shirt, who bows forward with hands joined in prayer. The seated figure holds a small white paper or card in his left hand. Behind them stand tall brass oil lamps with lit flames and a gold-framed backdrop. Swamiji (probable) appearance cues include long swept-back hair, orange ceremonial dress and rudraksha malas; he is seated in the presiding role as the blessing giver.2011-11-29A photograph of a man in a white shirt with long hair tied back in a ponytail, hands pressed together in namaste, receiving a blessing. A smiling man in an orange saffron robe and a long gold bead necklace, with a white sacred mark on his forehead, reaches out and touches the devotee's forehead, holding a small white paper or cloth in his other hand. Behind them is an ornate gold throne with cushions and a large floral garland of yellow, orange and red flowers. A golden figure is partly visible in the background. Two people are visible in the scene. The orange-robed figure is shown in an appearance-based role of the honoured teacher, a person candidate based on the saffron robe, gold beaded mala and ceremonial throne setting.2010-11-12October 07 20122012-10-07A seated man in saffron-orange robes with long, swept-back black hair and a rudraksha mala sits on a gold-carved throne with plush red cushions, placing one hand on the forehead of a kneeling devotee. The devotee wears a white kurta, a rudraksha mala and has his hands clasped in prayer with eyes closed. Behind them, a man in white dhoti with maroon border and gold necklace stands with hands folded, and another person in orange garments stands in the background. A small tray with red apples and offerings sits beside the throne. Swamiji (probable): the seated saffron-robed figure with long swept-back hair, rudraksha mala and ornate gold throne fits the candidate description, consistent with a blessing or darshan. Gold-trimmed red-and-gold throne setting.2010-09-17September 23 20122012-09-23A photo of a devotional blessing in a hall with red velvet drapes and a gold throne-like seat behind. A central figure with long swept-back dark hair, a red bindi, gold hoop earrings, a gold necklace and armlets, and an orange-saffron shawl over the shoulders holds a sheet of paper while placing a hand on the head of a young man who bows with palms pressed together. Probable Swamiji: the central figure's long hair, saffron clothing, gold ornaments and ceremonial stance match the cues for this teacher, and the blessing is being given in a satsang-style setting. Other people nearby wear white and join hands in prayer, including a man on the left and a figure at right wearing rudraksha beads and gold jewellery. A microphone stand and a lectern appear in the background.2013-08-04
