Rows of monks and nuns in saffron-orange robes sit cross-legged on both sides, each before a banana-leaf plate of food with paper cups of water. In the centre, two people in plain white clothing sit facing a central figure on a golden throne-like seat, backed by a red and gold shrine with standing deity figures and a framed portrait. A figure in orange sits near the throne. Brass lamps and offerings are visible, along with a stage area and several people standing at the edges. The scene suggests a communal food offering in a temple hall.2013-10-04 +1 copiesA photograph of a formal meal in a hall with a red patterned carpet. A central figure in a rust-orange robe with a rudraksha mala sits on a white ornate chair before a white-draped table holding a silver bowl, while a gold throne backed by a red cushion stands behind. Two long rows of seated people in orange and rust-coloured robes eat from banana-leaf-style plates of rice and vegetables on low wooden platforms, with water glasses beside them. A woman in white stands at the left edge. The scene reads as an annadan-style communal meal. Probable Swamiji is seated in the centre, identified by his long hair, orange robe and mala necklace, with his role as the figure presiding over the meal.2014-01-22Large hall photo of a ritual meal or darshan gathering seated on white cloths and red-patterned rugs. In the foreground left, a figure seated on a gold-and-purple throne wears a red-orange turban and orange garment, holding a bowl of food. Rows of seated devotees fill the room: some wear white robes, others orange-saffron garments with red shawls, and many have plates of food with small cups before them. A woman in white with dark hair sits in the centre front with hands joined. Framed panels and red walls decorate the background. The seated figure on the throne is an appearance-based probable candidate for a person, given the orange turban and ornate throne, and is presented with that uncertainty.2015-10-23A seated figure in saffron-orange robes sits on an ornate gold throne with a red cushioned back beneath a red canopy, holding a silver bowl at a plate in the center. Flanking the throne are vases of red and white flowers. Seated on red mats in rows before him are devotees: several shaven-headed monks in orange and red garments on the left, and people in white and red clothing in the foreground, with banana-leaf meal plates and small white cups laid out along the floor. Two attendants in white head coverings work near a row of steel vessels on the right. The setting is a golden-tiled hall with lattice windows and orange walls.2014-09-13A seated figure in an orange saffron robe sits cross-legged on a raised platform before an orange-upholstered throne with carved dark wooden arms, a framed portrait of a long-haired, saffron-robed figure above it. The seated figure has long dark hair and wears a rudraksha-style bead necklace, with a metal bowl placed before them. Rows of people in white ritual clothes sit on both sides of a long central aisle, palms pressed together in namaskar, some wearing yellow garments and gold necklaces. Banana-leaf plates with food and small cups line the aisle. A small framed portrait sits on a white-draped table at left, and a white-clad woman with folded hands is visible at upper right. The scene reads as an ashram ritual meal.2010-10-12 +1 copiesSeptember 21 20162016-09-21
