September 21 20162016-09-21A seated group of devotees in an ashram hall faces a raised dais with a gold-and-red throne on the right. A figure in saffron robes sits on the throne, while rows of devotees sit on mats on the floor: women in white and orange-bordered saris and saffron-clad sannyasis with shaved heads. Several metal vessels and steel containers sit in the centre, and a few plates of offerings lie on the floor before the throne. Red curtains, framed portraits on the walls, colourful hanging banners and a projector screen complete the setting. A small attendant stands near the left edge. The image suggests a satsang or ritual gathering.2011-11-07September 21 20162016-09-21September 21 20172017-09-21 +1 copiesSeptember 21 20172017-09-21 +1 copiesSeptember 21 20172017-09-21 +3 copiesSeptember 22 20172017-09-22 +1 copiesPhotograph of a large seated congregation in a temple hall during a Navaratri puja. Many devotees sit on the floor facing a stage; most wear saffron/orange robes or white saris and white kurta-style clothing, with long dark braided and loose hair visible. On the left, a figure in white stands on a red-draped platform near a screen showing a deity image. On the right stage, a large gold ornate throne-style shrine holds a gold murti, beside a decorated deity figure garlanded with flowers. Camera operators with tripods film the proceedings. Red curtains and a ceiling of fluorescent lights frame the hall. The count of physical people is large, though only the visible crowd is counted here.2017-09-21 +1 copiesA large hall filled with seated devotees in orange and saffron robes and white and cream saris facing a gilded ornate throne at the front. A figure in red robes sits on the golden throne flanked by gold pillars, with a trident mounted on the wall behind. Two large screens on either side show a painted portrait of a saint in red and gold. Camera operators on tripods film the stage from the seating area, and a red curtain hangs behind the throne. Many people sit on mats in rows, with some wearing white and others orange, and a few holding books or sheets. The scene is a satsang or discourse session in a Hindu ashram hall.2017-08-27March 30 20162016-03-30August 26 20172017-08-26June 06 20162016-06-06
