Thin white flowers or leaves hang on strings from the roof frame. The figure wears a heavy necklace of red and blue beads with brown beaded strands, a green leafy garland, and gold bangles on the wrists and upper arms. A red and white rope or hose runs beside the ropes, with palm fronds visible at the right against a pale sky.2015-01-04A photograph of a man in a rust-brown dhoti and shawl with gold-bordered trim, wearing long strands of dark rudraksha beads, a gold ceremonial pendant, and a thick garland of red flowers. They wear long layered garlands of white jasmine, yellow and red marigolds, purple flowers and green leaves, plus a beaded gold-coloured mala necklace. Their dark hair falls past their shoulders. The scene suggests a festival or ceremonial moment with water and ropes. Visible cues including long hair, saffron clothing, garlands and the mala are consistent with a person, though the face is not clearly visible.2009-12-23March 10 20132013-03-10Outdoors under palm trees, a man with short hair and a red bindi wears a tan wrap over a red flower garland and rudraksha malas, with gold bangles on his wrists. Several arms in gold bangles and beaded bracelets reach toward him, one hand gripping the wrap at his shoulder, while a thin rope with a dry-grass tuft is held overhead as part of a flag-hoisting rite. Coconut palms and green foliage fill the background. The man appears to be a person by appearance cues, with the page noting his presence at this flag-hoisting event.2015-04-21A man stands outdoors under palm trees, holding a rope taut with his right hand while his left arm extends outward, apparently during a flag-hoisting.
