A priest in an orange-red dhoti stands on the left, raising a long ceremonial fan or umbrella-like object over a figure seated in an ornate palanquin-style conveyance. The seated figure wears an orange-gold garment, a gold crown or headdress, and is heavily garlanded with red and white flowers; the seated figure appears to be a deity murti or decorated image rather than a living person. Pink and magenta drapes frame the palanquin. A second orange-clad attendant stands behind at left, and the temple pillars and lit arches are visible in the background.2012-04-30Photo 11742986 +3 copiesPhoto 11741247April 30 20122012-04-30 +1 copiesA photograph inside a temple sanctum with ornate stone pillars and a gilded arch. A central figure dressed in saffron-orange robes sits on a raised seat decorated with red and white flower garlands, with a large garland draped across the front. Beside him stands a priest in white dhoti and a white upper cloth holding a brass tray or plate. Two tall brass lamps with lit flames flank the scene at left and right. A bronze-coloured deity murti stands in a small shrine niche at the right edge, and a smaller seated figure in orange sits at the lower left. Brass vessels and offerings are arranged on the floor in front of the raised seat.2011-11-06 +1 copiesA photograph inside a temple shrine lit by warm light. A standing woman in an orange sari holds a lit oil lamp on a tray with both hands, facing a large gilded deity murti pair on a red-draped altar, the figures adorned with a crown and purple-and-white flower garlands. Golden ornaments and a gold pedestal sit in front. Below, a seated figure in white robes with an orange shawl and orange turban sits near the lower edge of the frame, partly visible. Brass lamps and a small gold canopy frame the scene.2010-11-21December 12 20112011-12-12A photograph inside a temple hall with ornate pillars and carved gold-toned arches. At centre, a figure with long dark hair and a crown-like headdress sits on a raised seat, wearing a red-orange garment and gold ornaments. Several people stand nearby in saffron and orange robes, some holding ceremonial implements, and a brass lamp stand rises in the foreground beside a red-clothed attendant. The setting suggests a coronation or temple ceremony.2012-04-27A priest in saffron-orange robes stands at left, reaching toward a shrine where a golden deity murti of Shiva and Parvati sits enthroned on a red-draped peetha. The murti wears a red and gold crown and ornate gold jewellery, and is framed by garlands of white, yellow and orange flowers. Two small golden figures stand on the base in front, and a lit oil lamp is held near the murti. Golden arches and carved stone surround the shrine.2009-02-23
