A woman in a maroon-red turban and maroon shawl, with white flower garland, smiles with palms pressed together in greeting. Beside her a young man with a shaved head, white tilak on the forehead, orange-brown shawl and beaded necklaces stands among devotees. Right of centre an older bearded sadhu in saffron-orange robes, with a red tilak, presses his palms together in namaste. A bald man in white clothes faces away from the camera toward them. Many people in yellow, white and saffron clothing surround them, some holding up mobile phones and a camera. Behind, a lit pavilion with red and white lights, string lights and yellow flags.2016-05-16 +1 copiesApril 23 20162016-04-23 +1 copiesNight photograph of an outdoor crowd at a temple-style event. A central man wears a maroon-red turban and a maroon-red robe with a heavy gold ceremonial necklace and pendant, holding a tall silver ritual staff topped with white flower garlands in one hand. He smiles while standing among devotees. Around him, men in saffron and orange garments, a bare-chested man in white with a gold chain, and a man in a white shirt with tilak marks are visible. A woman in a red-maroon sari with a gold necklace stands to the right, next to men in dark shirts. White drapery with green swags and floodlights frame the scene behind them, with a blue-grey building wall.2016-05-12March 20 20142014-03-20April 23 20162016-04-23May 11 20162016-05-11May 10th 20162016-05-10
