A photograph of a man's bare feet and lower legs standing in a large orange plastic basin of reddish water, with his hand reaching down into the basin among dark floating material and small white particles. He wears a blue and white checked lungi, a red thread band around one ankle and a dark wrist band on the other arm. The basin sits on bare reddish-brown earth. The scene appears to show a manual washing or soaking task, with no shrine, ritual setting, or visible deity present.2013-06-17A photograph of a pair of hands, with a red and black beaded wrist cord, lifting a dark, weathered metal or stone deity murti from a shallow orange plastic basin of reddish water. Blue checked cloth is visible at the top of the frame, and sandy soil surrounds the basin. The murti is standing and appears to be a small Hindu figure with an ornamented head and body, partly submerged and dripping.2013-06-17A close photo of two hands, one with a bangle and one with a ring, washing dirty sandals in a black plastic bucket of muddy water on bare ground. Behind them a pile of muddy footwear and other buckets sit on the dirt, and a person in red trousers and a person in dark clothing are partly visible, seated and working. The scene suggests cleaning up after rain at an ashram.2016-05-10April 05 20082008-04-05June 17 20132013-06-17June 17 20132013-06-17Close-up photograph of bare feet on a dark red patterned mat over a tiled floor.
