Smoke rises from the lamp against a dark background. A partially visible person in orange clothing appears at the lower left edge. The priest, with his bare upper body and gold bangles, appears to be performing an evening aarti ritual.2015-05-05October 26 20112011-10-26May 05 20122012-05-05May 05 20122012-05-05A man in a saffron-orange and maroon dhoti-style wrap stands against a dark night background, holding a silver aarti lamp with a large flame in his raised right hand and a brass bell in his left. He wears a long necklace of gold beads with a pendant, bangles on his wrist, and looks upward toward the flame. Smoke rises from the lamp at the top left. This appears to be an evening aarti ritual. The man has short dark hair and no visible crown or long hair, so his identity cannot be confirmed from appearance; he is described by role as a priest performing aarti.2012-10-16October 26 20112011-10-26A young male priest in white ritual dress with gold-bordered dhoti and shawl, wearing a cream and gold patterned turban, stands on a dirt ground holding a brass oil lamp with a bright flame in his cupped right hand while his left hand is raised beside it. He wears a beaded necklace and bangles, with a tilak mark on his forehead. Behind him, other people in white and yellow garments stand in a line, and a blue banner hangs on a fence. No candidate is identifiable as a person by the cues required, so the figure is treated as a priest.2011-10-31
