In the foreground are large brown bronze-coloured statues of a reclining figure, lying on a cloth-covered table, with a second statue behind it. Several people stand nearby: a man in a white shirt with a lanyard and eyeglasses, a man in a white shirt with a red and white logo on the back, a man in a light kurta beside a small boy in a yellow shirt, and another man in white near a table with bowls and lamps. The statues are not people and are not counted.2013-10-05December 22 20102010-12-22Making Of Sacred Arts University +2 copiesAugust 26 20172017-08-26February 05 20152015-02-05December 13 20092009-12-13A photograph of a pradosha puja at a temple pavilion. Two copper-coloured deity murtis sit side by side on a pedestal: a seated male figure with a tall crown and a female figure with a tall crown and jewelled necklaces. A black stone shivalinga stands in front of them on a dark stone yoni-peetha. A bald priest in a saffron-orange garment reaches up to anoint the male murti's head, while a man in a white dhoti and white shirt with an orange waist cloth holds a brass plate. Small gold-coloured objects, a tiered pyramid and a standing figure, sit at the base, and flower petals float in the water around the pedestal.2007-09-24December 05 20142014-12-05Outdoor ritual at a red-earth site with a small stone shrine and a leafy tree behind it. A bare-chested priest in a white dhoti, with a sacred mark on his forehead, stands at a freshly mounded earth altar covered with marigold and mixed flower garlands, yellow and red powder and scattered petals, holding a small tray or ritual item in both hands in a folded, offering gesture. Beside him another priest in a white dhoti and pink shirt stands with hands folded. Behind them a row of men in everyday clothes, including checked lungis, a green shirt and a dark kurta, stand with hands folded or raised in namaskar near a wire fence. Wooden posts and a dry open field stretch into the background under a pale sky.2017-02-03
