The figure wears a rust-red turban, a gold crown-like headpiece with a gilded bracket, and a white garment with a striped red and gold sash. Long garlands of white flowers with magenta blossoms drape over the shoulders, and a rudraksha mala of dark beads hangs at the chest. Layers of gold armlets and a pearl-studded collar adorn the figure. Behind it are pink sequined cloth and gold-toned panels, with a small brass lamp stand at lower left. No living people are visible.2016-10-29June 23 20162016-06-23A photograph of a decorated deity murti, a black stone Shiva lingam shown with an orange-and-gold turban-like draping and a gold-and-diamond band across its top. A gold five-hooded serpent hood (naga) arches behind it, with green gem drops hanging from the hood heads. The murti is wreathed in white jasmine garlands with red roses, wears a long rudraksha mala with gold bead spacers, and sits within gold and pink fabric near a gold ritual vessel. Chiefly a deity murti, with no physical people visible; the tall golden staff at right and a pink cloth hang in the background.2012-04-26June 14 20162016-06-14January 04 20172017-01-04September 15 20142014-09-15June 23 20162016-06-23January 04 20172017-01-04 +1 copiesOctober 29 20162016-10-29A decorated deity murti, not a living person, is the main subject: a dark stone figure dressed in an orange and gold-bordered cloth wrapped as a turban-like crown, topped with a red rose. A golden multi-hooded serpent canopy with five green-jewelled hoods arches overhead. The figure wears a white and gold sash, a jewelled gold band with diamond-like stones, a red-and-green jewelled pendant, and a long rudraksha mala draped across the chest. Thick white jasmine garlands and red flower garlands frame the figure, and a gold kalasha-style ornament sits at the base. Blurred pink fabric and gold decor fill the background.2012-04-26
