A corrugated roof and a water tank appear behind, with a small silver pyramid-shaped object in the foreground. A figure in saffron-orange robes with long dark hair and a gold ceremonial necklace with a pendant leans over a black stone shivalinga on a tiered black stone base, pouring water from a silver vessel over it while water runs down the stone. Behind him two men in white dhotis and shirts stand with palms joined in prayer near a golden oil lamp and a black board listing donors. A person in a saffron-orange robe with long swept-back hair pours water from a copper pot over the linga, water spilling down onto the base. Garlands of orange and yellow flowers hang on the right beside a pink and green cloth. A brass oil lamp stands behind the linga, and a tiled-roof building with a black board listing devotees' names is behind. Two men with folded hands in white clothing watch at the left edge.2008-12-31A photo of an abhishekam at a temple. A central figure in an orange saffron dhoti and draped orange cloth, with white vibhuti marks on the forehead and arm, and a heavy gold necklace, pours milk from a silver vessel over a dark stone shivalingam-style Shiva linga on a lotus-carved base. Milk streams down the black stone. Behind him, a bearded man in orange robes and gold beads stands watching, and a younger person in orange holds a brass pot. At left, a white marble statue of a seated figure with raised hand stands beside the stone. A yellow-and-white garment is partly visible at the edge. Swamiji (probable) is the central figure pouring the abhishekam, identified by his swept-back hair, ornate gold necklace and saffron draped cloth.2009-12-16Photograph of a temple abhishekam at a black stone shivalinga on a yoni-shaped peetha. A priest in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl with a rudraksha mala pours water from a brass kalasha over the linga, water streaming down the stone. Behind him a second man in white stands near the linga. On the right, a large deity murti is draped in a gold-bordered red silk garment and garlanded with white and red flowers. A small brass or stone object sits on a low stand at left beside wet ground, and a wall with a printed sign is visible at left.2008-03-23Night-time abhishekam at a stone temple pavilion. A man in orange saffron robes with a head and shoulder shawl, a long gold ceremonial necklace, and white and red tilak marks on his forehead pours milk from a white vessel over a dark stone Shivalingam in a basin, with milk streaming down the sides. Beside him, a younger man in white dhoti and kurta with an orange shawl and gold garland holds a silver plate. A white statue stands at the lower left.2009-12-16A photograph of a long-haired man in saffron-orange robes and a gold bead necklace pouring water from a white vessel over a tall grey stone shivalinga during an abhishekam. A white vibhuti mark is on his forehead. Behind him a woman in orange clothing stands near a brass pot, and a gold kalasha-like finial appears at the right edge. Stone architecture with carved trim forms the background. Water spills down the lingam.2010-02-12A bare-chested priest with long dark swept-back hair and an orange cloth draped over his shoulders pours liquid from a brass vessel onto a dark stone shivalinga set on a black stone pedestal. Around him, four young men in orange robes with white forehead markings stand with palms pressed together or watch closely. A brass lamp stands at the right edge, and a water tank and a golden kalasha-like finial appear in the background. This appears to be an abhishekam ritual. The priest's appearance is consistent with the page's reference to a person, but his face and features are not clear enough to confirm identity.2007-02-23
