Close-up photo of a ritual scene at a temple altar. A person in an orange-red garment reaches in from the left, a bangled hand scattering grains or powder over a dark stone surface. In the foreground a large polished silver bowl holds an orange liquid with a silver ladle resting on its rim. A small silver dish with red and orange offerings sits beside a brass lamp stand, and marigold garlands and a painted backdrop fill the background. The visible hand and forearm belong to a single person, and no face is shown.

Close-up photograph of a puja tray on a polished brass plate, holding small brass cups, a brass bell or lamp, pink and red rose petals, white jasmine buds and green leaves, and yellow marigold heads in small bowls. A person's hand, wearing a red and gold thread bangle, reaches into the tray to arrange the flowers. Rudraksha beads are visible on the wrist and chest of the blurred person beside, dressed in red and white. The scene suggests a ritual offering of flowers and aarti items.

A close photograph of a hand reaching into a large ornate silver tray filled with yellow and white flower petals, red and pink rose petals and yellow marigold blossoms. Two small gold-coloured finials or cups stand among the petals. The hand wears silver bangles set with red stones and a gold ring; the sleeve is white. The tray rests on a red cloth. The scene suggests a flower offering.

A photograph of a fire ritual at a temple shrine. In the foreground a priest in white clothing and a beaded wrist band holds a long-handled ladle over a large brass bowl, pouring offering material into a sacred fire. Behind the fire pit, a deity murti rests on a teal and gold pedestal with a carved cobra hood above it, draped with yellow and white marigold garlands. Flames rise from a yellow-tinted fire pit covered with yellow flowers and a purple blossom, with smoke drifting upward. Brass pots, cups, oil lamps and a basket of flowers sit on the ground. Striped red and white steps appear at the top of the frame. A homa or yagna is being performed.

Close-up of a ritual scene: a bare forearm with silver bangles and a dark beaded bracelet extends from the left, holding a metal ladle or spoon. Several brick-like platforms are decorated with white and yellow marigold petals and a lit flame burns in one of them. Garlands of yellow and red flowers hang in the background, and a small oil lamp glows at the upper right. A silver plate holds yellow marigolds and petals. The frame is dimly lit with warm tones. No person's face is visible, and the arm and hand are the only human parts shown.

A silver-topped wooden peetha or stand holds a ritual arrangement of pink, red and purple flowers, yellow turmeric or kumkum powder, white petals and dark brown powder, with green stalks bound by a tied bundle. A woman's hand in a bangle reaches in to place or adjust the offering, while a second wrist wears rudraksha beads. Her gold-yellow silk sari and layered necklaces are visible at right. Stacked yellow blocks and a silver bowl sit at left, with seated devotees in orange and red garments behind.

Close photo of a puja being performed on a white marble floor. A person in white clothing with ash-smeared hands and feet holds a small red flame or offering over brass puja items. Nearby are a brass tray with an oil lamp, brass bowls, a copper water vessel, an incense stick, a plate of rose petals and mixed flowers, a small brass bell, and a brass aarti lamp burning with a small flame. A striped cloth lies beside the bare feet. Only partial body parts are visible, so the person's identity cannot be determined from the image.

A homa fire ritual at an outdoor altar. A priest in white clothing, with a red-and-black thread and metal bangles on his wrist, pours liquid from a brass ladle into a sunken fire pit where flames rise. Brass bowls, small silver vessels and yellow and purple flowers surround the altar. Behind it stands a colourful deity murti with a multi-headed cobra hood, and smoke drifts upward. No person's face is visible enough to assess presence of a person, and the scene shows only the priest's hands and white-clad body.
