A traditional South Indian sadya-style meal is arranged on a large green banana leaf laid over a clear plastic sheet on the floor. Servings of vegetable curries, a yellow dish, a thick pale chutney-like paste, rice, a tangy orange relish and a small mound of pickle are placed along the leaf. Two small white paper cups sit beside it. The leaf is bordered by strings of white jasmine flowers and red and orange roses, with more roses clustered on the right. Blurred figures in white clothing and a sitting person in white are in the background, but no one is clearly in focus. No a person candidate is visible.2009-07-19July 19 20092009-07-19July 19 20092009-07-19Overhead view of an offering arrangement on a stone floor. Two banana leaves on white cloths hold rice, vegetable curry, fried snacks and small bowls of sweets. A brass tray of flowers and leaves sits on an orange-draped low platform at upper right, beside brass oil lamps with flame-shaped tops and red flower arrangements in metal vessels. A bunch of ripe bananas rests on green leaves in the centre. Orange cloth drapes into the frame at right. A partly visible seated figure in orange sits at the upper left edge. Possibly a food offering ritual, though no event is confirmed.Photo 11680823September 30 20162016-09-30Annadhan in 20162016-01-01 +1 copiesClose view of a long row of banana-leaf plates laid on white tables, each holding a serving of white rice, yellow and orange curries, a flatbread, and a ripe banana. The foreground and background are softly blurred. Orange-brown cloth edges appear at the left, and a white cloth covers the floor at right.
