July 19 20092009-07-19A traditional South Indian sadya-style meal is arranged on a large green banana leaf laid over a clear plastic sheet on the floor. Servings of vegetable curries, a yellow dish, a thick pale chutney-like paste, rice, a tangy orange relish and a small mound of pickle are placed along the leaf. Two small white paper cups sit beside it. The leaf is bordered by strings of white jasmine flowers and red and orange roses, with more roses clustered on the right. Blurred figures in white clothing and a sitting person in white are in the background, but no one is clearly in focus. No a person candidate is visible.2009-07-19July 19 20092009-07-19July 14 20132013-07-14 +1 copiesPhotograph of a long table set with green banana leaves holding portions of rice, white rice mounds, brown and green side dishes, pickles, fried snacks and a dried fruit or date piece, alongside rows of paper cups with red and white patterns and clear plastic cups with straws. An orange-robed arm is visible at the upper left edge. The foreground leaves are in sharp focus while the background recedes. No readable a person candidate is visible.2014-05-17A photograph of a seated man in orange saffron robes at a puja, wearing a long garland of red flowers, white blossoms and green leaves, with a red tilak on his forehead and long dark hair. He sits on a low wooden seat with a white cloth, hands resting on his knees, before a banana leaf laid with rice, vegetables, fruit and a steel tumbler. A wooden staff lies beside him, and a stainless steel dish sits at left. Behind him is a grey concrete wall with a poster of a woman in white and a red bar. A second person in white sits at the right edge. The orange-robed man has distinctive long hair, saffron clothing and rudraksha beads, so he is a probable Swamiji candidate; the photo is in person.2006-10-12October 12 20062006-10-12May 17 20142014-05-17Overhead view of an offering arrangement on a stone floor. Two banana leaves on white cloths hold rice, vegetable curry, fried snacks and small bowls of sweets. A brass tray of flowers and leaves sits on an orange-draped low platform at upper right, beside brass oil lamps with flame-shaped tops and red flower arrangements in metal vessels. A bunch of ripe bananas rests on green leaves in the centre. Orange cloth drapes into the frame at right. A partly visible seated figure in orange sits at the upper left edge. Possibly a food offering ritual, though no event is confirmed.Close photo of a traditional vegetarian meal served on a green banana leaf on a light tiled floor. A man's hand, wearing no visible ornaments, reaches in to take food. The leaf holds heaps of white rice, small mounds of pickles and chutneys in dark brown and orange, a pale round idli-like cake, a swirled sweet, fried snacks, sliced vegetables and red chilli pieces. Two small white paper cups with green leaf prints and a clear plastic container sit nearby. A woven mat and a person in white cloth appear at the top edge of the frame.2012-10-27 +1 copiesOctober 23 20152015-10-23August 02 20162016-08-02
