Outdoor photo of a tall, ornately carved copper-toned dhwajastambha flagpole rising against a partly cloudy blue sky, with palm trees behind it. A red-orange cloth is tied near its top and a red-orange rope runs down the shaft. Two people in red-orange robes stand at the base on a raised platform; the nearer one, wearing a rudraksha mala, pulls the rope upward while the other assists beside them. A dark roof edge is visible at the upper left corner.

A monk in saffron-orange robes with a beaded mala necklace raises both arms and reaches up toward the rope and red flag at the top of the pole, while a second monk in orange robes stands at the right edge, looking up. Palm fronds are visible behind them. A single person in saffron-orange robes and a rudraksha mala stands on a red platform at right, reaching up to pull the orange rope that raises the flag, which marks a dhwajarohanam flag-hoisting rite.
