A tall ornate bronze flagstaff rises against a partly cloudy sky, its carved base set on a red platform. A monk in saffron-orange robes with a beaded mala necklace raises both arms and reaches up toward the rope and red flag at the top of the pole, while a second monk in orange robes stands at the right edge, looking up. Palm fronds are visible behind them. The scene suggests a flag-hoisting ceremony at a temple.
