Two tall painted dvarapala-style guardian figures in orange dhotis with green sashes and crowns flank a central golden throne draped with a tiger-skin cloth. Above the throne a framed portrait shows a smiling man in an orange turban and orange robes, and in front of the throne several saffron-robed monks sit in a row, one younger figure in orange at the centre. In the foreground a priest in a white dhoti and bare upper body with sacred thread and vibhuti marks sits cross-legged before brass puja vessels and a small tray. Brass oil lamps line both sides of the hall. The portrait is a printed image of the throne, not a physical person, and the seated monks in the shrine are the only other physical figures.2013-09-10November 23 20132013-11-23Interior temple shrine with two painted dvarapala-style guardian statues in orange and green dhotis holding staffs and lotus-topped ornaments flanking a gold-framed photograph of a smiling man in saffron turban and robes, set on a golden throne with tiger motif. At the centre, a framed portrait of a smiling man in an orange turban and orange robe sits on a gilded throne draped with a tiger-striped cloth, labelled "Paramahamsa Nithyananda" on the frame. Several priests in orange-red robes kneel before the throne performing worship. Two painted deity figures with multiple arms stand on either side, and in the foreground brass oil lamps with many flames are lit on a reflective floor.2013-07-27Inside a temple shrine, a priest in white dhoti and shawl with a shaved head sits cross-legged at lower left, lighting or tending a small puja tray of lamps and offerings. Two large painted deity murti flank the entrance, each with four arms, gold crowns and gold jewellery, one wearing a green cloth and orange dhoti. Centre, a golden throne with a tiger-skin seat holds a framed portrait of a smiling man in an orange turban and saffron robe, surrounded by hanging bells and brass lamps. Three women in orange-red saris kneel before the throne in devotion. Ornate brass oil lamps line the walls and red carpets cover the marble floor.2013-08-02June 16 20132013-06-16Interior of a temple with painted blue and pink walls and two large painted figures of deity guardians with crowns, gold jewelry and orange-green dhotis, each holding objects in raised hands. In the centre, a gilded throne with a tiger skin draped over its seat sits beneath a canopy; a framed portrait of a smiling man in orange robes and an orange turban hangs above it, garlanded with a wreath. Several women in orange and red saris sit on the floor before the shrine, some with puja trays and oil lamps. Brass oil lamps line the foreground and rugs cover the white marble floor. Nothing about the person in the portrait is confirmed beyond the visible orange turban and robes; the portrait is a depiction of a person, identity uncertain.2013-07-05November 28 20132013-11-28 +3 copies
