Inside a temple shrine, a framed portrait labelled "Paramahamsa Nithyananda" sits on an ornate gold throne draped with a tiger-striped cloth. The portrait shows a smiling man in an orange turban and saffron robe. Two painted, multi-armed guardian figures with crowns, gold necklaces and pink and green dhotis flank the doorway. In the foreground, a tiered oil lamp with many lit flames blurs the view, and several people in red and orange robes reach toward the throne, apparently lighting lamps. The scene suggests a puja or aarti. No live individual is clearly identifiable as a person.

A gilded throne with a tiger-skin cushion sits centre-back beneath a framed portrait of a smiling figure in an orange turban and saffron robes, labelled with a caption. Two large painted dvarapala-style guardian statues with four arms, gold jewellery and green and orange lower garments flank the throne. Several saffron-robed monks sit before the throne offering lit lamps and flowers. In the foreground, a shaven-headed man with rudraksha malas faces away, holding a brass lamp with a bright flame; a white-clad priest with rudraksha beads sits to the left beside a small puja tray.
