Beside him sits another man in a striped white and blue polo shirt, eyes open, with a red cloth nearby. Four men sit in a row on a raised earthen platform beneath a large spreading banyan tree with thick roots. All wear white ritual clothing and listen attentively. The man on the far left wears an orange and white neck cord, the second wears plain white and sits cross-legged with forearms on his knees, the third wears glasses, an orange neck cord with beads and a tilak on his forehead, and the rightmost man wears glasses, a dark pendant necklace and a white top with pale trousers. A plastic water bottle sits in the foreground. No one is identified as a person by appearance, so the group is described by role as attendees.
