A round brass thali sits on a red cloth holding a ring of small wooden bowls filled with dried herbs, powders, grains and fibrous plant matter. Bowls contain green and yellow leaves, grey and brown powders, white puffed grains, chickpea-like seeds, black seeds and three dark knobbly pods, with pale stalks laid across the centre. In the top right corner another brass plate holds red apples and turmeric-stained rice. No people are visible in the frame.

Dozens of polished brass bowls are stacked in tiered rows on a table draped with a red cloth printed with white paisley motifs. Each bowl is covered with clear plastic wrap and holds a different offering: grains, lentils, spices, powders, dried fruits, nuts, sugar crystals, and loose seeds. No people are visible. The arrangement appears to be ceremonial offerings for a Guru Purnima celebration.

A hand in a red sleeve is visible at the upper left pouring or placing something into one bowl. No people's faces are shown. The setting suggests a ritual food offering.

Several round silver plates hold heaps of dried herbs, roots, seeds, bark pieces and dried leaves, with a few small bowls of yellow turmeric powder and a brass cup. A large brass vessel holds bundled dry sticks. Two coconuts sit in a wooden box, and a plate of white flower petals or puffed grains is in front. Behind on a raised table stand a wooden tray of fresh flowers and fruit, woven baskets, a bowl of oranges, a bowl of apples and steel containers. A brass kalasha and a small figure of a deity murti stand on a dark pedestal at the upper left, and a person in a white dhoti with a red sash is partly visible at the top right. Materials appear prepared for an offering or ritual.
