Two shaven-headed priests in saffron-orange robes with gold borders and rudraksha malas stand beside him, one bare-chested with a white tilak on his forehead. A bare-chested older man in a blue dhoti at right, and a man in white dhoti and orange shawl stand nearby. Behind them, a white building with green trim, palm trees and onlookers in saris and shirts. Crowded outdoor temple scene during a procession. In the foreground a bare-chested man in a cream dhoti with red rudraksha beads and white sacred markings leans forward to reach toward a silver vessel decorated with orange and pink flowers, held up by a man in saffron cloth wearing a gold necklace. Outdoor river or lake ritual on a bright day, with a crowd of devotees pressing around the water's edge and tents with bunting behind. A central figure in an orange-red robe with a matching hood-like shawl and red tilak on the forehead holds a brass-rimmed kalasha decorated with green leaves and white flower garlands. Beside him, men in saffron robes, one with a long dark beard and a red bindi, reach toward the pot. This appears to be a water-offering or purification ceremony at a festival site.
