A plate of white grains is partly visible at the upper left, and warm amber light falls across the background. No people are visible.2016-10-29Close-up photograph of dried red chilies heaped on a round silver-toned metal plate in the foreground, with a second bowl of chilies at the left edge and another tray at the top right. Behind them, out of focus, a seated gathering of devotees sits on a mat; women wear orange, red and yellow saris and several men wear white kurta-style clothing, some with orange stoles. The table cloth is orange and striped. The setting appears to be a homa or chandi homa ritual with chilies as offering, though the blur hides detail. Visible people are partially shown and mostly unidentifiable; no a person candidate is clearly distinguishable.2010-10-16 +2 copies
