July 17 20082008-07-17Photograph of a smiling man in an orange saffron garment with a white, red and green flower garland and a red bindi, eyes closed, his hands raised to a golden ornate crown-like halo or throne backdrop. A man at the left edge leans in. The golden backdrop has intricate repousse floral and figural carvings. Appearance cues include an orange robe, garland and bindi, with a visible nose ring; a person candidate in an honoured seated setting.2008-07-17July 17 20082008-07-17A ceremonial coronation inside a temple hall. A standing elder in a golden crown with a white jasmine garland and rudraksha malas touches a golden crown placed on the head of a kneeling younger man in saffron robes and white flower garland, who joins his palms in a respectful namaste. Gold ornate throne and a framed portrait of a sage with vibhuti are behind them; a few other people in white dhotis stand in the background.2012-04-29Two men in a gilded temple-style room. An older man with a shaved head, white tilak on his forehead, bare-chested with an orange-red lower garment, a long white jasmine garland with red flowers and a gold necklace, wears an ornate gold crown and raises his right hand with rings to bless the head of a younger man kneeling before him. The younger man has his hands folded in namaste, smiles, wears an ornate gold crown, a white garland, an orange-red robe, gold bangles and a small ear device. Behind them stands a gold-embossed throne and a framed portrait of a woman with a white-marked forehead, and a second man in white clothes and gold necklace is visible in the background.2012-04-29A smiling man in an orange saffron shawl and a gold ceremonial necklace sits on a red velvet cushioned seat in front of an ornate gold throne-like backdrop, with a red bindi on his forehead. He reaches forward to touch the head of a second man in a white shirt, who is seen from behind with his hand raised. Yellow marigold garlands and red fabric draped behind them. The seated man is identified only by appearance: a person, seated and blessing a devotee.2011-12-17 +1 copiesA smiling man seated on a gold-ornate throne, wearing a tall gold crown with a sunburst back, white jasmine garland, gold necklaces and bangles, red kumkum and white tilak on his forehead. Beside him, a man in saffron robes with a gold-beaded mala stands with hands together, and another attendant in saffron holds a golden vessel at the right edge. A figure in the left foreground extends an arm toward the seated man. Gold-embroidered throne fabric fills the background. Swamiji (probable) appearance cues: ornate gold crown, jasmine garland and gold jewellery on the seated figure, consistent with an honoured guest of a ceremonial welcome.2012-04-29August 02 20132013-08-02A seated man with long dark hair and a full beard, bare-chested with a reddish-brown cloth draped over his shoulders, wears heavy gold ceremonial necklaces, pink and white pearl garlands, and a gold armband. Two elderly men in saffron-orange robes stand on either side; the one on the left, with white hair and beard, holds a large ornate gold crown above the seated man's head while the figure on the right, also in orange, supports it with his hand. Behind them is a backdrop of concentric rings of red, yellow and white marigold flowers, and a golden trident-like ceremonial staff is visible at the far left. The scene suggests a crowning ceremony during a birthday celebration. Swamiji (probable): the seated man has long swept-back hair, a ceremonial gold necklace and garlands, and is receiving the crown, consistent with the page's account of the Avatardinotsava.2016-12-23Photograph of a seated man in a saffron-orange sleeveless robe with a red tilak on his forehead, holding a small silver ceremonial implement and smiling, while a standing man in a white kurta with a yellow cord around his neck places his hand near the seated man's head. Behind them is an ornate gilded throne backrest with floral and scrollwork carving, and a backdrop of banyan tree foliage. Two people visible.2009-11-20A seated man in saffron-orange robes and a gold necklace sits on an ornate gold throne decorated with gold filigree and a crown-like finial. He has short dark hair and smiles broadly while a woman in a white blouse and green-and-maroon sari, with a gold bangle, reaches up to touch his ears. He wears a multicolour and white flower garland and his shoulders are draped with a red-orange cloth. Behind the throne are garlands of yellow and red flowers and silver-striped decorations.2008-07-17December 23 20162016-12-23 +1 copies
