Two technicians operate a video production setup in a dim room. On the left, a man in a checked collared shirt watches a flat-screen monitor. On the right, a man in a white shirt works a broadcast switcher and camera controls with his hand on a joystick. The monitor shows multiple camera feeds of a robed figure in saffron-orange clothing with a beaded necklace, gesturing with an outstretched arm on a stage. A small console with a mixer and a white cable box sit on a draped table, with a box of tea-like cartons and garlands nearby. Swamiji (probable) appears only on screens: a saffron-clad figure with long swept-back hair and a rudraksha-style necklace, depicted in the monitor feeds rather than physically present.2014-04-29Two technicians in a dim control room operate a video switcher while watching a large monitor. The monitor shows a multi-window live feed of a man with long hair, saffron-orange robes and rudraksha malas, gesturing with his hand in several camera angles, with smaller inset views of other people in orange clothing. In the foreground, a man in a checked shirt sits at left and another in a white shirt works the control panel at right, with a small LCD display, cables and a green box on the table.2014-04-29A dim control room during a live broadcast or recording. In the foreground, a man in a checked button-up shirt looks toward the camera while his hand rests on a black video switcher panel with a small screen. Beside him, a second operator in white sits with his back partly turned. A large monitor displays multiple camera feeds of a woman in orange robes with a white beaded necklace, seated and gesturing at a lectern or stage. On the desk are cables, a green box, marigold-like flowers and a small switcher unit.2014-04-29April 29 20142014-04-29April 29 20132013-04-29A photograph of a live-production video switcher desk in a studio. A large monitor shows a multi-view grid of camera feeds: a man in an orange-saffron robe with a rudraksha mala and a wide dark hat speaks into a microphone, and a woman in a purple top sits beside a decorated tapestry-backed chair holding a framed photo. A second man in the background works at a laptop. Control panel buttons and faders are in the foreground. The on-screen man wearing saffron with a mala matches the appearance cues of a person depiction on the monitor, shown on a screen rather than in person.2016-09-22Video cameras on tripods and a broadcast monitor setup in a temple hall, filming a satsang event. The left monitor shows two men in white and saffron-red ritual clothes seated at microphones, one wearing a red and white garland and the other with a bare shaved head. The right monitor displays a multi-panel grid of smaller video feeds showing devotees seated and standing, a woman in a light sari bowing, and a decorated altar with a deity murti in the lower right. Blurred red curtains and a pale wall form the background.2010-12-28January 31 20152015-01-31A dim tented venue with a stacked bank of television monitors on a dark platform showing live satsang feeds. The largest screen at the top shows a figure in orange-red robes seated and receiving attention from a person in white, while smaller screens show seated devotees and audience rows in red and orange tones. Draped white and red fabric covers the tent ceiling, and warm stage lights glow at the left. Several screens display a seated figure in saffron clothing with long hair and rudraksha beads; the top-screen figure is an appearance-based candidate but uncertain. Physical people are only faint silhouettes at the edges.2013-07-15November 28 20112011-11-28A control room of monitors and laptops at an ashram event. Five large monitors line a long desk, showing a grid of many small photographs and video feeds, a mountain peak, and a close-up of a face. In the foreground, a bald man in a white shirt and a person in an orange top wearing headphones operate a laptop and a desktop showing video panels. Cables run across the floor. In the background, people sit cross-legged on the floor in front of brass lamps and offerings, and a standing figure in white stands near a tripod camera. The scene shows live-streaming and media production work. Two people are seated at the desks in the foreground, and a few more are visible in the background.2012-04-08A photograph of a live-streaming control station. A shaved-headed man in an orange-saffron robe and a rudraksha mala sits at a video mixing console, his hand on the switcher buttons. Above the console, a monitor shows a multi-panel video feed of a figure in orange and red robes with gold garlands. Several laptops and computer monitors sit on a cluttered table with cables, a cable spool and a yellow notepad. The setting is an indoor room with plain white walls.2015-08-22
