A tall brass standing oil lamp with a bird-shaped head and ornate leaf-like flourish stands on a floor base with yellow and orange marigold petals scattered around it. A white jasmine-style garland spirals up the lamp's stem. Behind it, a deep red satin curtain hangs at right, and red and orange patterned rugs cover the floor. A partial edge of a white-clothed figure appears at the far left, cut off by the frame, so no one is clearly visible.
