The man on the left wears a rust-red dhoti, rudraksha malas and bare upper body with white marks, holding an open book. The middle man wears white clothing with a yellow-bordered cloth and a rudraksha mala. The man on the right wears a white dhoti with a yellow border, an orange turban, glasses, rudraksha malas and arm bands, with hands folded in prayer. Above them stands a gilded throne-like structure with a golden animal figure, draped in orange cloth and decorated with marigold and multicolour garlands. Brass vessels, a silver lamp and yellow flowers sit on the ground in front of a raised fire pit with offerings.2015-01-03Night photograph of a teal-and-red wooden cart or float at an outdoor ritual. Two men sit cross-legged on a pink-draped platform beneath a large gilded bull statue with a green canopy garlanded with yellow and orange flowers. Both wear white turbans and rudraksha malas; the man on the left wears saffron-orange cloth and glasses, while the man on the right wears a white shawl and holds a ritual implement. A brass vessel and offerings sit before them. In the foreground a woman in an orange sari with her hair in a braid faces the platform with her back to the camera. A large golden Nandi bull statue with a green canopy and marigold garlands stands behind. A man in a saffron dhoti and shawl with a rudraksha mala stands at left, bending slightly toward a seated figure in white dhoti with a white head wrap, bare-chested, wearing beaded necklaces. A woman in an orange sari stands at the cart's edge at lower right, and a lit oil lamp sits on the platform. Strings of lights and a golden deity figure appear at the right edge.2015-11-11Two shaved-headed priests sit cross-legged on a mat in an outdoor ritual setting. The left priest wears a rust-orange dhoti and shawl with rudraksha malas and beaded arm bands, touching his forehead while a small pot of yellow marigold flowers sits before him. The right priest wears white dhoti and an unadorned white wrap with a long rudraksha mala and an orange turban, pressing a hand to his face. Silver bowls, a brass vessel and a golden elephant-shaped stand with garlands in the background suggest a puja or abhishekam; the scene shows no clear a person candidate.2015-01-03April 18 20182018-04-18 +1 copiesA figure in white ceremonial dress with a white turban and layered gold necklaces stands beside a golden throne decorated with garlands of yellow marigold and red flowers. Above the throne hangs a red, blue and yellow fringed canopy. The figure holds a long garland with both hands. Behind them, a bald man in a white shirt with a red-orange shawl looks on, and small lit oil lamps glow on wall shelves in a dim hall.2010-12-29Night photo of a temple ritual at a gilded arched shrine decorated with white and red flower garlands. Two priests in white dhotis and shawls stand before the shrine: the one on the left, bent forward with a bare upper body, holds a lit oil lamp toward the murti, while the priest on the right, in a cream turban and white garments, reaches toward the flame with his hands. A purple cloth and a brass vessel rest on the platform in front. The gold-framed deity murti is partly hidden behind the flowers. The image is a photo of an aarti-style lamp offering at a temple shrine.2012-05-02November 19 20152015-11-19November 05 20162016-11-05November 11 20102010-11-11
