May 11 20142014-05-11May 11 20142014-05-11A photograph of a seated figure on an ornate golden throne with lion-shaped armrests and a tiger-striped cloth, under a gold canopy inside a tent. The central figure wears a red robe, a long multicolour flower garland and gold necklaces, with a red tilak on the forehead and hair swept back. Two crossed silver tridents flank the throne. Standing and kneeling around are devotees: a man in white with clasped hands at left, a man in an orange dhoti and rudraksha mala beside the throne, a woman in a white sari with a red-and-white shawl at right, and a woman in red beside her. Rose petals lie on a red cushioned platform at the foot of the throne, where a priest in white with a red shawl kneels at left. The scene reads as a pratyaksha padapuja on a throne, with the seated figure described only by role.2016-05-20A seated man on an ornate golden throne with a red cushion wears an orange turban and an orange-and-pink flower garland, with a rudraksha bracelet on his wrist and a saffron shawl draped over him. Around him, devotees sit on a blue floor in white, saffron and red shawls, several holding brass plates of flowers and offerings, including a man in white and a woman in a white sari with a red-bordered shawl. A tall silver trident stands beside the throne, and a second golden throne sits empty in the background. The appearance-based candidate on the throne has long swept-back hair, a turban, saffron clothing and rudraksha beads, so this is a probable Swamiji (probable) in a satsang-style gathering.2014-05-11December 08 20132013-12-08A man seated with eyes closed on an ornate gold-and-red throne, wearing a rust-red turban with a jewelled ornament, a rust-red robe, layered gold necklaces and a long red-and-white flower garland. A gold trident stands at left. Three bare-chested or orange-robed attendants kneel in front of the throne, one holding a white cloth, in a red-draped stage setting. The man seated on the throne matches the appearance cues of Swamiji (probable), wearing a turban, gold necklaces and a garland, presented as seated on a throne.2017-06-08 +1 copiesMay 14 20142014-05-14December 17 20132013-12-17May 12 20142014-05-12A seated man on a large gold throne with a rounded fan-like backrest sits centrally before a red floral backdrop with scattered red rose petals. He wears a rust-orange turban, an orange-red robe, a white flower garland with red beads, a rudraksha mala and a gold pendant, and holds a silver trident-topped staff. A gold ornate canopy hangs above him. Around him, seated devotees in white, cream and orange clothing, including a woman in a green blouse and women with glasses, sit closely together during what appears to be a gathering. The appearance of the seated man matches several cues: orange-saffron robe, turban, garland, rudraksha and gold ornaments, so he is described as Swamiji (probable) on the throne, receiving devotees.2015-05-27Indoor ritual scene in a hall with a gilded golden lion throne and a golden lion figure. A man seated on a red-brown cushioned throne wears a dark maroon turban with a white feather, a maroon-brown robe, arm bands and a long multicoloured garland of red, green and white flowers. A woman in white kurta with a red shawl sits with eyes closed, hands folded. Several people in white and red-trimmed clothes sit around a low table with brass plates of flowers, fruit and offerings. A small framed portrait of a saffron-turbaned figure sits on a shelf beside a golden lion. A large screen and a tropical landscape photo hang on the walls. The man on the throne shows an appearance consistent with the page's reference to Swamiji, with a turban, a long garland and distinctive maroon robes, so this is a probable candidate.2013-12-17September 06 20152015-09-06
