A photograph of several wet clay moulds laid out on a blue and white checked cloth on bare ground. Each mould holds a sculpted figure in relief, with limbs and bodies pressed into soft brown clay. A taller clay form with a hollow cylindrical top sits at the upper right, and a larger lump of clay lies at the upper left. Sand, gravel and a white cloth surround the arrangement. No people are visible, and no event or ritual is shown beyond the sculpting work.

A photograph of four men seated cross-legged on an orange woven mat inside a temple hall with gold-painted pillars and deity murtis in shrines behind them. A man in a red t-shirt and dark trousers leans forward on the left, a man in a maroon shirt and orange dhoti-style cloth sits centre with his hand to his chin, a young man in a white shirt sits beside him, and a man in a grey t-shirt sits at right. Papers and a small stack of books with a gold cover lie on the mat in front. A white overlay caption reads discussion with the stapathis for deitification.

Black-and-white photograph of a hand holding a pencil and drawing a sketch on paper. The sketch shows a standing robed figure with a crown-like headdress, shown beside a stepped pedestal or structure, possibly a deity murti design. A gray translucent overlay in the upper right carries white text. A carpeted or woven textured surface fills the background, with a framed picture visible at the right edge.

A photograph of children at a clay modelling activity seated on a blue tarpaulin. A young girl in a green and white striped dress with silver bangles shapes clay with her hands, holding a small cup of water. Hands from several other participants work clay on two wooden boards, forming small figures, rounded forms, a lamp-like bowl and a small seated figure. Adult hands and a purple cloth are at the edges of the frame. Several small clay pieces lie drying on the boards.

Two-panel graphic with white overlaid caption text showing night-time photographs of metal melting in a crucible over open flames, a step in making archavataras (deity images). The left panel shows a red-hot crucible set in the fire on the ground, with a long rod or pole running to it and a few blurred figures in pale clothing at the edge of the frame. The right panel is a close view of bright flames and glowing embers against a dark background. The captioned message presents metal melting as one step in the deitification process.

A photograph of girls and young women sitting on a blue tarpaulin, shaping wet clay into small figures and forms on flat cardboard pieces. In the foreground a woman in a purple and green sari smiles and works the clay with her hands. Behind her a girl in a pale pink top with a sheer scarf and green skirt leans over the work, and a bowl of water sits nearby. Clay figurines and lumps are arranged on the boards at right. Only partial hands and arms of other participants are visible at the bottom edge.

Two men kneel on dusty red earth shaping a long mud or clay form laid on a grey concrete slab. The man on the left wears a white striped shirt and light trousers and presses clay with his hand. The younger man on the right wears a grey striped shirt and checked lungi and smooths the clay along its length. A yellow bucket, red bricks, a blue-handled hacksaw and scattered stone chips lie nearby, with rubble and a small fire residue in the background. No deity or a person depiction is visibly identifiable in the scene, and the pictured activity is sculpting work rather than satsang or ritual.

A photograph of several young boys crowded around and working on a clay sculpture of a deity murti on a white cloth spread on a concrete floor. Several hands are shaping and pressing the wet brown clay figure, which has a tall, layered crown-like top and a raised arm. One boy in a light shirt leans in from the top, another in a dark shirt at the bottom right, and a smaller boy in a yellow-green shirt sits at the left. A small metal plate and green leaves lie to the right, and a blue cloth hangs on the left wall. No a person candidate is visible.
