Behind him a saffron-clad man with a purple flower garland walks in the line, followed by several saffron-robed attendants. To the left, two women in white saris and head coverings walk along, and a woman in a red sari stands at the right edge with hands folded in greeting. A colourful canopy umbrella and a trident-shaped staff rise above the procession.2008-12-31A procession of devotees in saffron and orange robes moves across a paved courtyard beside a red-and-gold shrine with garland decorations. Two large ornate parasols are carried above the group. A man in the centre foreground wears a dark red-and-maroon shawl, a black ceremonial turban and a long red flower garland, and walks with his hands joined in front of him. Behind him, a man carries a small blue-and-white bundle with a white flower garland, and several people wear rudraksha malas and white or orange cloths. Palm trees and foliage surround the courtyard, and a green-and-red tiled canopy stands at the right edge.2016-03-01 +1 copiesA procession walks along a brick path through green tropical trees at golden hour. At centre, a figure in saffron-orange robes with long dark hair wears a large red and yellow marigold garland and a gold-coloured necklace, walking barefoot with hands at chest. Behind him, a long-haired attendant in orange carries a ceremonial standard with a red and gold emblem on a pole, and another attendant in orange holds a metal tray. Other robed attendants in saffron and white walk along, and white-clad devotees stand with palms pressed together at the roadside. A white floor rangoli decorates the path. The centre figure's appearance matches the page's identity cues of long hair, saffron clothing and ceremonial garland, so he is described as Swamiji (probable) in the procession.2009-12-27A procession outdoors in front of a South Indian temple gopuram-style entrance with painted pillars. Several men in saffron-orange robes walk forward; the foreground figure on the right wears a saffron-and-gold-bordered garment, long rudraksha and white bead malas, a large gold pendant, a red forehead mark and a headband. Beside him a man in an orange robe wears a gold necklace and carries a staff. Behind them a man in white dhoti and gold-bordered shawl walks with an orange-clad attendant. A red-and-white parasol is held above the group. Other devotees in white dhotis and white saris stand along the path, and a child is visible at left. Ground shows white kolam-style marks.2012-05-18April 21 20152015-04-21A photo of a welcoming procession on a brick-paved path beside a red wall and palm trees.
