A photograph of four men working on the floor of a bare, unfinished workshop with a corrugated and thatched ceiling. In the foreground a man in a pink-and-white checked shirt and white dhoti works on a reddish copper vessel, and beside him a man in a yellow-and-white striped sleeveless top and checked lungi strikes a metal piece with a hammer. A man in a grey-and-green checked shirt crouches at right chiselling a flat metal plate laid on a dark slab. Behind them a man in a black shirt bends over a large copper pot. Scattered iron nails, a hammer, a red-and-white plastic box, a small booklet, and burlap sacks lie on the concrete floor, with a red chair against the back wall.

A photo inside an open lattice-walled workshop where a temple chariot or ratham is being built. A woman in an orange saffron sari stands barefoot at centre, speaking with men in white dhotis and white shirts. Around them stand large cylindrical wooden and metal drums, copper and brass bowls, bronze pieces, hammers and tools on the concrete floor, and a plastic chair. Another man in white and an elderly man in orange stand at the back. Woven mats hang on the left wall.

Three men in white dhotis and shirts sit on the floor of a simple concrete workshop, working on bronze or metal deity figures placed on a dark work mat. The man on the left holds a figure and works with a tool, the man in the middle works on another piece, and the older man on the right, with white hair and a moustache, wears a rudraksha mala and holds a metal tool. A brass kalasha-shaped vessel stands on the platform behind them, with a stone mortar and metal tools in front. A large black-and-white image of a deity's face hangs on the wall above. The scene shows sculptors crafting temple murtis.

A covered outdoor workspace with white block walls and a corrugated roof shows copper kalasha finials of tiered, bulbous form with pointed tops, lined up in rows on the floor and standing upright. Two men are at the left and centre; one wears a plaid checked shirt and dark trousers, another wears a white shirt and dark trousers. A shirtless man with long dark hair and an orange cloth wrapped at his waist is bent over, working on a bundle of cloth or a bamboo mat near the copper pieces. Stacked white plastic chairs, cardboard boxes, wooden planks and a bamboo mat lie around the space, and a red pillar stands at the right edge. The photograph carries a date stamp reading 30 12 2005 and a copyright footer.

Photograph of four men seated on a concrete floor in a simple thatched workshop doing hand metalwork on small copper-coloured vessels and bowls. The man at left in a pink checked shirt and white dhoti works on a pink vessel with a tool; a shirtless man in blue checked lungi strikes a piece with a hammer; at right a man in a black shirt and checked lungi tools a rounded pot; and a man in a yellow striped shirt and checked lungi chisels a flat metal plate on a mat. Tools, metal rods, cloth bags, a red chair and a wooden bench surround them.

Two men sit barefoot on bare ground working on a metal sculpture. The man on the left wears a white shirt and light blue jeans and uses a chisel-like tool on the metal. The man on the right wears a teal-grey shirt, a mustard-yellow dhoti with yellow border, and a red thread on his wrist, holding a hammer. Behind them sit sacks, copper-coloured pots and other tools on the dusty ground. No deity form is clearly identifiable from this view.

A row of polished copper kalasha-style finials, tiered bulbous forms with pointed conical tops and serrated rings, arranged on a cloth-covered surface. Behind them hangs a draped orange-saffron cloth, and a folded blue and multicoloured textile lies at right. Plastic bags and a brass vessel sit at left. No people are visible in the main frame apart from a partial figure at the far left edge.
