January 08 20192019-01-08A photograph of a ritual scene indoors with red draped curtains behind. On the left, a young sannyasi with long matted hair, a white tilak on his forehead, an orange-saffron cloth draped over his shoulders, and a beaded rudraksha-style mala, sits and looks upward. On the right, a shirtless man in a white dhoti with a gold border kneels, wearing multiple rudraksha malas and a pendant, his hands extended in a gesture. In front of them is a brass tray holding a gold kalasha-style vessel, red and yellow flowers, and a red cushion on a decorated metal stand; a stack of wooden planks sits to the left. Seated devotees in white clothes fill the background, and a third orange-robed figure is partially visible at the lower right.2019-01-08January 08 20192019-01-08Photo of a ceremony on a red floor mat. A bare-backed devotee in white dhoti kneels and bows forehead-to-floor before an ornate silver throne with leopard-print cushions. Seated on the throne is a figure in saffron-brown robes wearing a large marigold and rose garland and a gold pendant necklace. A man in white dhoti with yellow border and rudraksha mala kneels beside the devotee, touching his back, and a person in orange holds an orange fruit at the right, as orange fruits are passed among attendants. The scene suggests a padapuja reverence, with the throne centred in the frame.2018-04-14January 05 20192019-01-05April 14 20182018-04-14January 05 20192019-01-05April 14 20182018-04-14 +1 copiesOctober 22 20112011-10-22January 06 20182018-01-06Two sannyasis in saffron-orange robes kneel on a patterned cloth in a temple hall. The figure at right, with a shaved head, rudraksha mala and tattooed arms, bows low and touches his forehead to a golden tray. The tray holds two golden vessels, red and yellow flowers, and a red velvet cushion on a silver pedestal. At left, a younger sannyasi with long dark hair, a rudraksha mala and a red-orange shawl gazes upward. Stacks of wooden book-shaped boards with printed text lie beside them, and a blue cloth is folded nearby. Behind them are curtains, a gold ritual stand and seated audience members. The scene suggests a sacred offering or padapuja presentation.2019-01-08A photograph in a dark room with a golden ornate throne. A seated figure on the right wears an orange-saffron turban, orange robes, layered rudraksha malas and a gold chain, with a gold bracelet on the arm and bare feet resting on a golden footstool. Swamiji (probable): the appearance cues of saffron turban, saffron robes and layered rudraksha malas match the page's identification, though the person is not fully identifiable. Before him, two men sit on the floor: one on the left in white dhoti with an orange-bordered shawl, white tripundra on the forehead and white markings on the shoulders, hands folded; another in white shirt and trousers with folded hands. Brass trays hold red flowers, fruit, small bowls and a lit brass oil lamp stands nearby. A studio light and a framed picture are visible in the background.2013-02-20
