Close photo of a hand raising a brass aarti lamp with a large flame and rising smoke, held against a plain pink-beige wall. To the left, a gold-toned deity murti face is partly visible; to the right, garlands of red, orange and white flowers hang beside the lamp. Only a forearm and hand are visible, so no full person is shown.

Close view of a ritual flame held in a metal camphor-style lamp by a bare-shouldered man in a white cloth, his hands and a silver bangle visible. A red rudraksha-style mala hangs at his neck. Behind him, the background shows red and gold draped fabric, flowers and ritual metal vessels. Only partial faces and shoulders are visible; the flame is the focal point.

A photograph of a ritual arati in a temple setting. A person's hands hold a silver pedestal lamp with a bright open flame and burning sticks, extended toward a deity murti decorated with dense garlands of red and yellow flowers and green leaves. A brass bowl with yellow marigold petals sits in the foreground. In the blurred background a figure in white clothing stands near a golden ornamental stand. The scene reflects a flame-offering puja at a shrine.

A saffron-clad priest in an orange turban and rudraksha mala holds a silver lamp with a flame and a small bell at a night puja before a festival deity murti. Behind him stands a white and gold Durga murti with a yellow-garlanded Ganesha figure in front, smoke hanging in the dark background.

Photograph of a temple ritual in the foreground: a dark-skinned hand holds a silver oil lamp with a lit flame, its stand decorated with a small figure, held up before a seated figure. Behind, a deity murti or statue is adorned with yellow and orange flower garlands and a red cloth. The seated figure wears an orange-red robe, a red head cloth or crown-like wrap, and a long beaded necklace, but the candidate's appearance is partially obscured and blurred. A white cloth with a gold border hangs at the right, and the background is softly out of focus.

A close photograph of a devotee's hand holding a brass aarti lamp with a tall flame rising from its shallow dish, lifted against a warm orange and pink blurred background. The person's gold bangle is visible on the wrist, and only part of the head and face is visible at the left edge. The scene suggests an evening lamp offering during a ritual.
