May 07 20122012-05-07A temple puja scene under an arched golden niche. A priest in orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, with a shaved head and a beaded necklace, stands at left holding a lit oil lamp (aarti) toward the shrine, smoke rising. Inside the niche, two large deity murtis sit side by side, adorned with red and gold garments, gold crowns, necklaces and garlands of marigolds and purple flowers. In front, a white-clad altar cloth and brass lamps surround a white sculpted figure with an orange head-cloth and a garland, shown as a statue, not a living person. Brass vessels, kalasha-style pots and offering plates sit on the stone platform. A red wall and foliage appear outside.2010-11-11A shaven-headed man in orange robes stands at left, holding a brass lamp aloft before a shrine. Behind him, two gilded deity murtis with crowns and red-and-teal silk garments stand beneath a red curtain, adorned with yellow and orange marigold garlands. In the foreground a white statue wearing an orange cloth and red garland sits beside silver ornaments, brass lamps and vessels on a tray. Smoke rises in the morning light beside a carved temple pillar, with a green hedge and fence behind. The scene suggests aarti at a temple shrine.2010-11-11October 08 20152015-10-08A photograph of an altar on a stage before a deep red curtain. A seated figure in orange robes, a saffron turban, a long beard and a gold necklace sits on a silver-and-red throne at the centre, raising one hand in blessing. The figure's appearance is consistent with the page's a person reference, but the central figure is a printed or framed image only in the sense that the image is flat; it is a portrait-style figure seated on a throne, so the appearance is uncertain. Flanking him are gold-framed deity murti decorated with garlands in yellow, green and purple. A hand from the lower left holds a brass oil lamp with five flames over the altar. Floral garlands and a gold arch frame the scene.2017-11-27May 01 20142014-05-01November 11 20102010-11-11Photograph of a temple shrine at night with a golden arched frame and green draped backdrop. A priest with a bare upper body and orange cloth wrapped on the shoulders and an orange turban raises a lit oil lamp toward the central deity murti. A second person in orange robes sits at left. Two seated deity murtis in white garments with gold ornaments sit in front, and standing murtis flank the shrine. Offerings and flowers are visible, with a gold garland on the left. Aarti is being performed.2015-09-18December 28 20112011-12-28A photograph of a shrine with two gilded deity murtis draped in garlands of white jasmine and red and yellow flowers. A man with long dark hair, bare-chested and wearing an orange saffron cloth, stands at right holding a silver aarti lamp with a bright flame and a silver bell in his other hand, performing aarti. The shrine has gold-coloured pillars and a decorated canopy.2006-09-23A standing figure in orange robes holds a multi-flame brass aarti lamp toward a decorated deity shrine. The figure has short dark hair, a beaded necklace and a bangle, and the flames are lit. On the shrine, two deity murti sit on a bed of yellow and white marigold garlands beneath an ornate copper arch, with a red cloth draped behind. Smaller offerings and a red cushion lie on a white-covered table. A young girl in orange kneels to one side, and a few seated devotees in orange are partly visible at the lower left and right. Painted orange walls and red-and-gold hangings frame the scene, consistent with an aarti during puja.December 28 20112011-12-28
