On the left, a smiling man with swept-back dark hair and a white tilak on his forehead wears a rust-orange garment with a gold-coloured waist band and a long beaded necklace; he extends the basket with both hands. On the right, a smiling man with short dark hair and a moustache wears an orange-and-purple striped kurta and a gold-green shawl, receiving the basket of apples, oranges and other fruit under clear wrap. Behind them a bald man in orange and a partly visible figure stand near chairs, a water bottle sits on the floor and a small stack of books is held nearby. Whether the figure on the left is a person rests on appearance alone, so identity is uncertain.2014-11-09A photograph of a ceremonial offering inside a room with red curtains and a leafy backdrop.
