January 03 20082008-01-03Night photograph of three men walking along a paved path beside a red metal fence with gold finial tops and gold ornamental motifs, beneath a street lamp and a tree trunk at right. The man at left wears an orange turban and orange robe with a rudraksha mala. The man in the centre wears an orange robe and is bare-chested with an orange wrap. The man at right, bald, wears a white dhoti with gold border and a white shawl with gold trim, a gold necklace and a rudraksha mala, and holds a small red box or case in both hands.2011-08-13Night photo at a stone temple entrance with a red cloth curtain and carved pillar. Three men in orange ochre robes walk barefoot across a wet stone floor past a white-walled step platform. The man at the front carries a small brass vessel, the man in the middle holds a golden kalasha-style pot, and the man at right wears an orange wrap with a rudraksha mala and walks slightly apart from them. A bare tree and dark bushes stand behind.2008-01-03April 24 20122012-04-24March 19 20172017-03-19Night-time outdoor temple ritual under a large tree lit by a bright lamp. Several men in orange-saffron robes stand in a row; one at the centre holds a garland of red flowers and a silver vessel, another holds a tall ceremonial staff, and others carry silver bowls. On the right, a man in orange robes with a rudraksha mala stands with hands folded, facing the group. On the left foreground, a large red-smeared linga or deity murti sits in a black bowl with a small brass bell and oil lamp nearby. Figures in white clothing stand behind. The scene suggests an abhishekam or puja procession.2012-04-24Outdoor photo on a concrete path beside a red iron gate and a bare tree, with a water tank on a stand in the background. Five people walk in procession: two men in saffron/orange robes lead on the left and right, an elderly person in white draped clothing walks in the centre, and a bearded man in white with a yellow shawl carries a tray or plate. The orange-robed figure on the right has long hair and wears a rudraksha mala, and presents a distinctive appearance, so he is a probable candidate for a person in the sannyasi role, though the identification is uncertain. Small marigold-like flowers lie on the ground and a metal stand sits near the tree.2009-12-30December 30 20082008-12-30March 19 20172017-03-19December 30 20092009-12-30November 15 20172017-11-15April 27 20122012-04-27
