A photograph of a homa ritual on the stone steps of a riverbank ghat beside flowing water. A priest in a red-orange turban and matching draped cloth sits cross-legged, wearing a long beaded rudraksha mala and gold chain, with white markings on his arms. Before him a small square fire pit lined with yellow bricks holds a bright flame, with a brass ladle, a bowl of grain and a metal pot nearby. To the right, a second figure in a red and orange sari-style garment sits beside coconuts wrapped in green cloth, garlands of white flowers and red ribbon, and small brass dishes of powder. Shiny brass vessels and offerings fill the foreground.2014-03-24April 11 20182018-04-11 +1 copiesSeptember 03 20162016-09-03 +1 copiesA seated priest in orange-red robes and a matching orange turban performs a homa beside a sunken square fire pit with bright flames, marigold-yellow and white floral garlands, and brass vessels with offerings on a blue-and-red cloth.
