A photograph of an outdoor homa fire ritual. A seated priest in orange-saffron dhoti and orange turban sits behind a square brick fire pit with burning wood flames. He wears a long beaded rudraksha-style mala and a large pendant, and holds a ladle over a brass bowl beside the pit. Offerings including a basket of coconut or wood pieces, brass vessels, a small silver tray and fruit lie on a cloth. A yellow cart and red-and-white curbs stand in the background among palm trees. Only one physical person is visible.2016-09-03A photograph of a homa at an outdoor fire pit built from wooden planks. A young man in white ritual dress sits cross-legged at the left, wearing a red and white turban, thin-rimmed glasses, a dark rudraksha mala across the chest and brown armbands. Tall flames rise from the fire pit beside a copper bowl, a silver ritual vessel rests on the wood, and a brass lamp stands at the right. A yellow vehicle and green foliage appear in the background.2014-10-03September 03 20162016-09-03 +1 copiesJanuary 21 20182018-01-21October 10 20172017-10-10 +2 copiesSeptember 21 20162016-09-21January 21 20182018-01-21January 01 20132013-01-01 +1 copiesA photograph of a homa fire ritual outdoors beside a large tree. A figure with long swept-back dark hair and a forehead tilak wears an orange saffron robe and sits on a low wooden stool before a square fire pit built from white-painted bricks. Tall orange flames rise from the pit, which is decorated with marigold petals. Brass bowls, a small brass lamp, a pink flower and a silver tray with offerings sit near the pit, and a microphone stands in front of the figure. Swamiji (probable): the figure has long swept-back hair, a tilak and orange saffron robe, cues consistent with the page's claim of Swamiji conducting the Sri Vidhya homa.2006-09-21January 21 20182018-01-21 +1 copiesA photograph of an outdoor homa ritual on bare earth beneath large banyan tree roots. A man with long, dark, swept-back hair and a tilak on his forehead sits cross-legged, wearing an orange-saffron cloth draped over his shoulders and body, and speaks into a small microphone while gesturing with his raised hands toward a square fire pit built of white bricks. A bright flame burns in the pit, with marigold petals scattered on the bricks. A wooden seat with carved detailing sits behind him, and brass vessels, a silver bowl and white cloths lie on a blue mat to his left. Given the page's reference to a Sri Vidhya Homa, this matches Swamiji (probable) by appearance cues of long hair, saffron clothing and tilak, presiding as the officiant.2006-09-21Outdoor homa ritual beside a square fire pit built from white-painted bricks, with a large flame burning inside. A seated figure in long, swept-back dark hair and flowing saffron-orange robes, with a microphone on a stand beside him, gestures with both hands toward the fire. Another seated man in white clothing with an orange shawl sits at the left of the fire, watching. Brass bowls, a silver ceremonial vessel, a small kalasha-style pot, leaves and scattered marigold petals surround the fire pit on a sandy ground under large trees. A mat and cloth bundles lie behind them.2006-09-21 +1 copies
