In the foreground, a coconut wrapped with orange-saffron thread sits on turmeric powder beside a gold-toned ornamental hand-shaped piece with fingers and a decorative rod, plus yellow marigold petals. Behind it, another tray holds a second coconut bound in orange thread amid yellow flowers. At right, folds of red silk cloth with gold border and a white garment appear. The setting suggests a temple or ashram offering arrangement.2010-12-23February 19 20162016-02-19December 23 20102010-12-23January 02 20132013-01-02October 18 20152015-10-18December 25 20132013-12-25A close-up photograph of a ritual offering on a round silver tray scattered with turmeric-yellow rice and pink and red rose petals. At the centre sits a yellow-wrapped coconut-like fruit beside a small white shell, with a bundle of yellow and orange threads tied around a golden-hued object, and a cluster of gold-coloured ritual implements and small ornaments. Green betel-type leaves lie beneath the fruit. Blurred background suggests a temple or ritual hall. No people are visible.2015-07-13 +1 copiesDecember 14 20112011-12-14Close view of a ritual preparation on a silver-edged wooden table: a bare arm reaches toward two round silver plates heaped with saffron-yellow and orange turmeric-dyed threads, marigold petals and turmeric powder. One plate holds a small pair of gold-coloured decorative figures or tools amid the powder. Behind them a person in white garments with a gold border and a red silk cloth sits near a brass kalasha-style pot and brass vessel, with yellow flowers and a leafy arrangement at the top. Warm orange and yellow tones dominate. No face is visible and no portrait of a person appears in this frame.2010-12-23November 01 20112011-11-01
