A photograph of a group ritual in a plain hall with pale walls and red curtains. Many shaved-headed men in saffron and maroon robes, many wearing rudraksha malas and white tilak markings, sit on the floor with hands raised or holding small brass vessels and lamps. Silver trays with flowers, a conch-like shell and small oil lamps are arranged in front of them. Several white-clad men stand at the back. Partial glimpses of an ornate figure appear in the scene, but no clear appearance-based candidate for a person is established. The image shows a puja or satsang-style observance.

Many shaved-headed men in saffron-orange robes and rudraksha malas sit in rows, some with white vibhuti marks on their foreheads and arms, while younger boys in red-and-gold dhotis and white tilak sit among them. Brass puja vessels, small bowls, kalasha-style pots and a plate of flowers and offerings lie on mats in front of them. Several figures in white clothes sit toward the back.
