A large hall during a temple pada puja, with many seated participants in saffron-orange robes and rudraksha malas. Many boys and young men wear white forehead bands and bare upper bodies with orange cloth draped over them, holding lit oil lamps (deepa) toward the silver trays arranged on the floor in front of them. Each tray holds brass vessels, flowers, fruit, kumkum and small lamps. Behind the rows, older men in white and orange sit among the seats, and a woman in white sits at the back. The scene is a row-by-row arrangement of ritual pada puja worship.
