A shrine corner in a dark room. Centre: a seated saint statue in glossy orange robes with an orange turban and a beaded necklace, one hand raised in blessing. To its right stands a framed photograph of a man in a white turban and white clothing. Brass oil lamps stand on a green cloth-covered altar, with brass cups, a brass tray with offerings, and a bowl of rice and food. A small framed picture sits at the left edge. The statue is a depiction and the photo shows a printed portrait, so no living person is physically present.2012-04-06April 06 20122012-04-06A shrine corner in a dim room where a priest in plain white dhoti, bare-chested, stands at left preparing a puja. Behind a dark wall panel with white bell motifs, a seated statue wearing an orange-red robe and orange turban, with one hand raised in blessing, sits on a green-draped platform. Brass oil lamps with flames flank the figure, and a brass tray holds food offerings, small bowls, a steel tumbler and leaves on a green cloth. A framed small picture rests beside the statue. At right, a silver Panasonic audio system sits atop a white refrigerator. This is a statue depiction, not a person to identify.2012-04-06April 06 20122012-04-06November 27 20122012-11-27A white statue of a seated sage in saffron-orange robes and a matching orange head wrap with a red dot, raising one hand in blessing and wearing a long rudraksha mala.
