In the centre, a seated figure of Shiva in meditation pose, with matted hair, rudraksha beads and an upper-arm band, rests on a brown cloth draped over a tiered platform. Surrounding it are many painted clay dolls of deities, figures and animals in bright colours, including Ganesha in orange, a reclining figure, a small shrine with a black deity, and a seated musician. A gold-and-orange cloth covers the floor and table edges. Red-and-orange umbrellas hang above the tiers, and a large screen with a golden shrine image stands at the back. No people are visible in the frame.2016-10-08 +1 copiesIndoor workshop scene with several gilded metal deity murtis standing on wooden bases, a wooden palanquin-style cradle or swing frame, and brass lamps and bells spread on a white cloth on the floor. A man in white dhoti and shirt on the left presses his palms together in namaskar, his neck garlanded. On the right, a person in orange-red robes with a yellow border holds a shallow brass bowl and stands beside the wooden frame, head bowed. Behind them are a plain whitewashed wall, a caged light fixture and a framed picture. Three people are visible in total, one partially at the left edge.2014-08-06December 20 20062006-12-20Interior of a workshop storing and crafting temple furnishings: a large carved wooden chariot-like structure with a horse head, a carved wooden palanquin or ratha frame, a golden ornate chair, a green wooden cart, and carved wooden beds and benches. A seated woman in a rust-red sari sits on a carved wooden bench at left. Four men stand in the centre and right: three in white dhoti and shirts, one in a saffron-and-brown robe with an orange shawl, and one in white with an ID lanyard at far right. Lamps hang from the ceiling and a red mat lies on the concrete floor. The image is a photograph; the saffron-robed man is not clearly identifiable from appearance, so he is described by role only.2014-08-06
