Outdoor photograph of a crowd on a stone stairway beside a cream and red painted building with carved white relief panels on its balcony railing. A man in a turquoise-blue kurta with a tan shawl over one shoulder, long dark hair swept back, stands at the centre looking to the side. He has the appearance of a person by his long swept hair, blue kurta and shawl, though the cues are not conclusive. Around him are pilgrims: a man with a wicker basket on his back, a person in a clear plastic rain cover, a man in a red cap and a man in a red knit hat with a blue jacket, and a woman in a yellow sari. Rain cover and wet-weather gear suggest rain, and orange shawls are visible among the group.

Blurred photo of a narrow street lined with stone and red-brick walls, with marigold offerings on a ledge at left. A figure seen from behind wears an orange-saffron top and orange dhoti-style garment, with a large orange and yellow marigold garland around the neck and sandals on the feet. A man in a grey knit cap, grey shawl and grey trousers stands further back on the right, looking toward the figure. The figure appears to be a sannyasi walking on a Varanasi lane; identity cannot be confirmed from appearance alone, so the figure is described by role only.

Crowded outdoor scene at a religious gathering. In the foreground, an older bearded man in a white kurta and dhoti with an orange turban and red-patterned shirt holds a walking stick and a small steel pot. Beside him, a man in a red and orange patterned shawl and orange garment stands, while a man in a yellow jacket and a man in a lavender scarf stand at left. On the right, a bare-chested man wears a white dhoti and sash. Behind them, a shaved-headed man in white ritual cloth and devotees in orange, red and blue saris and turbans gather before a dark shrine tent with a deity murti and orange banners. Printed banners on the left show figures and text. Roughly 21-100 people are visible.
